I asked DH last night that since we didnt make any plans if he wants to just go to his poconos house but he said he has another idea. His mom had just asked earlier that day if we want a hotel room in the city for free, its in the times square area and i think through work or something who knows, she was given 2 hotel rooms and not taking either so giving away both rooms. Its free which is awesome and actually love the idea so we're gonna do that. Iguess we'll go check in early that day, hang out in the room and then go somewhere to eat. Maybe we'll have a view of stuff but not sure. Hang out in the room together and celebrate. I said the good thing is that since the hotel is in times square, if we wanted we can just walk downstairs for a little bit but not be in the insane crowd of ppl and then just go back to the room whenever we want.

Next year i actually want to host a party, i like that.
Yeah if i can get near the ball but not have to be stuck in the crowd i definitely will, otherwise i cant deal with that crowd lol. Or maybe since its NYE if the hotel has a rooftop bar or something like that, maybe the guests will be there watching it

dh's fam rented out some bar/restaurant on the west side. I'm not that excited b/c i'm a brat, but it's the first year we are doing what HE wants and not what I want so I'm keeping my mouth shut. Hoping to meet up with some friends for drinks first though.

DH and I will be celebrating with two other couples at one of their houses. We have spent many NYEs with them so it will be nice. One of the couples is getting married on January 2nd so we will keep it low key. It is always fun though because they get a LOT of fireworks for midnight!!! plus it is close by so we dont have to worry about driving
Next year we will all be old married couples LOL the other couple is getting married in April.

I usually go to my mother's and spend it with the family. By time I get home from work and get back out there, who knows what time it will be.

DH and I are going to his sisters house- she does a party every year. Im more a house party kinda person for new years than a going out type. I dont like all the effort that has to be involved. LOL. But I think it would be cool to get a group together one year and do it at a catering hall!

i just found out that we are going to one of those NYE parties - its at a Hilton in NJ, dinner, dancing, open bar, a hotel room, and breakfast in the morning.....
now i have to get a dress!

My uncle has a big party every year, I invite all my friends and their friends etc etc. He caters food and free drinking plus I dont have to be out in a crowded place and worry about getting home. If anything we usually just sleep at his house and have one big sleep over,
