Oct/Nov 12th Night brides - any sign of proofs? NONE FOR ME! =(

I'm starting to get really upset over this. My wedding was 136 DAYS AGO. That's 20 weeks. 4.5 months.... AND I STILL DON'T HAVE PHOTOS.

I loved them so much the day of my wedding - they were so great to have around. They had me laughing...they calmed my nerves, they dealt with my SISTER ( take my PICSHA) hahahhaha.....

I loved my e-pics too...that was fun.

They've been sweet enough to send me a few teaser pics, but nothing I'd use for a Thank You or anything...

Everyone that's used them says, 'Don't worry, it'll be worth the wait...' but the truth of it is that I paid a decent amount of money for a service/product that just hasn't delivered in a reasonable amount of time.... especially because my contract says proofs typically take 8-10 weeks.

I haven't even sent thank yous yet - I'm waiting for photos. People are starting to get testy! My Mom asks me about the proofs every week.

I don't want to call or email again and be 'THAT bride', but I really want them. I don't want a rushed product either...

Anyone else still waiting?

not one, but b/c that's ridiculous!! i'd be a very angry bride right now.

i am not a 12th night bride - but does your contract have a certain date that it states proofs will be delivered by?

I wouldn't be happy with that much of a wait - i would call asap. Might of missed the call or something. Your paper work could of gone missing, etc. Just call.

I would be a complete maniac......call? No, I think I'd be IN their office I think I would be THAT bride lmao!! you are too sweet to be THAT bride, I think by calling you're only checking on what should have reasonably been delivered at least a month or two ago. you can still like them and stalk them at the same time, like you said it's in your contract so after the 8-10 week timeframe you have every right to call!!! they do beautiful work and I'm sure yours are going to be gorgeous, but you shouldn't have to wait THIS long for them!!! I hope they deliver for you soon!!!!!

i was an august bride and got my proofs in december...

give them a call and like PP said it'll speed up the process a bit..

keep in mind that the difference between those brides that get their cds straight away they receive pictures on a disk.. 12th night creates a dvd with music, they go thru every picture and delete the ones where people blink and change some to sepia/b&w and so on.. they edit them a bit.. hence why it takes longer..

once you do get them.. they will help you create a TY as well.. (i didnt wait cuz i wanted to just send them out!)

i think that 12th nite does really great work----and i agree they have to edit their pics and such ---but i think they sometimes overextend themselves a teeny bit and then brides have to wait FOREVER for their proofs! cause i know that places like patken, duet, imagine, right angle, etc. do editing and such to their images and provide proofs to brides in less time than 12th nite. maybe they get a little overwhelmed? sorry your proofs are taking so long nicole---but i would definitely start hassling them a little bit. i know the work is worth it in the end---but its not an excuse to keep you waiting so long.

Mine were edited, color corrected, bad ones deleted...he also creatively added to them, some of them were B&W, sepia, overexposed, color contrasted, fish-eye lensed (if that's the way you say it), what I'm saying is, he already made/created all the finishing touches on them when he sent me the CD 2 weeks later.....almost 2000 pictures.....I didn't just get a CD with raw, unedited pictures, they were all finished. I could have gotten all the prints as well which would have taken a bit longer, but he still would have sent me the CDs in the meantime. And he was able to do all this in 2 weeks.

I don't see why they can't even get her that....then do the music stuff after? Just seems like an extraordinarily long time.....I would bust in there and demand some pictures!

That's insane! I totally understand where you are coming from... the whole 'worth the wait' thing is hard to stomach when waiting so long!!!! Good luck!

Okay there..

12th night is a smaller company than others.. I'm not here to defend them just trying to be reasonable.. The people that actual sit and edit are a few from what I can tell from the times that I have been there..
So that could be the difference from other companies..

I would DEFINITELY call, that's a little ridiculous!


I got mine in less then 4 weeks. I got about 600 of them on CD & in proofs edited and like 3000 on disks.

I'd be upset too.

I wasn't being testy I promise. My guy's company is super small actually. Just him and his assistant, they're photojournalists, and work like Angelica Glass and Something in Blue, he actually used to work with SIB.....they do lots of weddings, but he only takes on what he can handle I imagine since he was able to get them back to me so quickly. I wasn't trying to attack them at all, just saying that it doesn't take THAT long to do all those creative edits to pictures.....I guess I just agree with MJdoc, maybe they took on more than they could handle...I don't know, like I said, 6 months just seems like a long time for proofs. I feel terrible for her, it stinks because she should be able to look at all her beautiful pictures already.
