I hope everyone used Direct Deposit for their 2007 tax return! You will get your TAX REBATE (not your tax refund) )faster. IF not you have to wait for a paper check & then you could be waiting until JULY!
I have DD for my refund but I plan on closing my account before the stimulis payment!!!
Does anyone know what will happen to it?
whenever an account is not active or closed---usually the IRS will get it bounced back and they will mail out a check instead---it might just delay the $$ a little bit by a few wks

I think here is a form on the IRS website that you can fill out & send in with changes, but it might just be fore addresses.
I think they will mail a check once the money gets kicked back to them.
I would just keep the account open until i get the payment & then close it. JMO

Just founf this under the FAQs section:
Q. If I use direct deposit for my tax return refund and my bank account information later changes, what will happen when my stimulus payment goes out?
A. Typically, the direct deposit will be rejected. After the IRS receives a rejection notice, the payment will be converted to a paper check and mailed to you.

Re: OFFICIAL TAX REBATE/STIMULUS PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Thank you ladies!! Unfortunetly, I do not have the option of keeping this particular account open until May or June (long story) BUT at least I know I'll still get my money
