oh my lordy......

I've been so out of it and distracted this week that I actually FORGOT TO CALL ABOUT JURY DUTY!!!


I just asked DH if I'm going to go jail!

but then I called and my number is still 'call back on thursday'


COULD YOU IMAGINE IF I JUST DIDN'T SHOW UP.....actually what would happen if I didn't??

I could not see you in handcuffs...thats what DH said. he is probably partially right as he is usually partially wrong Why dont you call and postpone it-they will let you do that 3 times I think

I wouldn't worry....trust me, they don't arrest some people who really deserve it. Just call in and find out if they actually need you. They will just send you a reminder, as they did with my DH.

But if you get stuck in Central Islip for jury duty, let me know and we can get some lunch...and if Catherine (MeNBobs) sees this, we can go to the Oconee East Diner

Trust me, no arrest. We need the baloney sandwiches for all of the bad kids my judge remands for the day!

I don't think I can postpone, I think you can only postponed if you called when you were first told to start calling.....at this point I probably won't get called (thank god I didn't!!!! who forgets jury duty??)

Hey Michelle we should get you on those psycho kids (sorry, don't mean to offend anyone but they are) who were planning to handcuff and torture their teacher... That was a bizarre story I'm curious what the law can do (not much i suspect !)

Oh and Devon I've done the same thing TWICE, totally forgot to call and when I remembered started calling in so I think you're aok. No arrests yet!!!!

Just think of it as sending your CLs on vacation. Or sabbatical. Its not permanent. I stare at mine wistfully knowing as the next few months go by I will be wearing them less and less so we are BOTH going to be in withdrawal my friend.... Perhaps they can be your INSPIRATION to heal and get well though!!!

I remember very clearly our PIG (part. in gov't) teacher telling us to not worry about it. It was the right thing to do (call in and go) but that the system was so messed up, they can't keep track of everyone and if you missed, you were likely ok. love that our system is so organized...
