OH NO (lost ring update)

OH NO (lost ring update)

DH just called me crying and said he lost his ring! He is so upset. He was washing down the boat (he's a boat captain) and he looked down and it was gone . He hired a diver but the current was too bad and there was no visibility so he said he would try again tomorrow.

I keep telling him it's ok and it could be worse but he is just so upset. Girls please say a prayer that the diver is able to find it tomorrow.

It was not insured and it was not cheap (platinum w/ diamonds and saphires)

Re: OH NO

I am so sorry to hear this! I hope that it turns up somehow.

But, I will say that the last time that someone's hubby lost their ring, LIWeddings and Elsa ring manufacturers offered to replace the ring for the couple. Not sure what the specifics of the 'deal' was - if they were going to pay for it or not - but maybe they'd help you guys too, if it happens that the ring is not found.

Good luck...and pray to St. Anthony (if you believe that it will help!)

I so hope he finds it. All the best. Maybe LIW's vendor will be willing again to do the kind gesture that they offered before to Trish.

Re: OH NO

My hubby lost his ring too the week before our first Christmas as Mr. and Mrs. The week it was lost was torture. Then a little Christams miracle happened - it was found the day before Christmas Eve. Do a search to find my 'Christmas Miracle.' It was a happy ending - I hope you and your hubby have a happy ending too. Keep us posted.

P.S. I'll say a prayer to St. Anthony.

Edited to say I am Trish!!

Re: OH NO

So funny. I was just about to suggest a prayer to St. Anthony.

My mom does this all the time. She actually pays St. Anthony $5 every time she prays to him and it usually works (she makes a donation at Church).

It actually worked for us. I took her advice when DH lost his ring earlier this year. He actually dropped it by the side of the bed. I went to church that week and made a $5 donation.

PS - I usually don't do this sort of stuff but we were desperate.

Good luck. I hope he finds it.

I'll pray for you. I hope he finds it. Does he always wear it? Maybe he forgot it at home today?

Re: OH NO (update)

Thanks to everyone who is praying for the return of Roland's ring...but sadly we don't have good news yet. We ripped apart the house to see if maybe it had fallen off before he went to work but no luck . Divers tried to go again today but again the current was too bad and there was no visibility. I fear the longer it takes for the divers to get in the water the worse our chances are. But we will try not to loose faith until the divers come up empty handed.
