OH NO (lost ring update)

DH just called me crying and said he lost his ring! He is so upset. He was washing down the boat (he's a boat captain) and he looked down and it was gone . He hired a diver but the current was too bad and there was no visibility so he said he would try again tomorrow.

I keep telling him it's ok and it could be worse but he is just so upset. Girls please say a prayer that the diver is able to find it tomorrow.

It was not insured and it was not cheap (platinum w/ diamonds and saphires)

I will say prayers that you find it, but if not, maybe DH can get a 'work' ring (aka plain gold band, not too expensive) and a 'dress' ring. That way if he loses the ring, it will not be expensive to replace. That totally $uck$. I am really sorry that this happened.

So sorry about this Michele has a great point though - maybe you can buy him this for the future. I know the first one has such sentimental value though

Oh noooo! I hope it turns up! If he does get a new one if if the old one is found- do yourself a favor and get it sized! Rings should not fall off like that. (((Hugs))

Unfortunately for us, it doesn't look like Roland's ring will be found. A diver went down over the weekend and was unable to find it. He did find some bolts (which Roland had dropped into the water to see which way the current was going) but no ring. Visibility underwater has been really bad with all this bad weather comming through but it's been 4 days now and I fear the worst....that it will never be found.
