oil to gas???

anyone know how much it is to convert?? we are close to signing the contract on a house...long story short the owners have oil and we had some issues with their oil tanks so now they have offered to convert to gas for us but want to up the price of the house 5000. i just dont know if this is appropriate or not. thanks in advance. this house stuff is so scary and confusing

Check with Keyspan/National Grid first ti see if gas heat is available in your area. If it is I would arrange with a plumber or HVAC company to come to the house and give you an estimate on the cost of having the conversion made.
