Ok.. DH is freaking me out.

Ok.. DH is freaking me out.

We both have in passing spoke about having kids.. but nothing like serious.

I always joke that I need to at LEAST fit into my wedding dress! I wanted to get started after my wedding.

Last night Im in bed all sleepy when he starts to tell me about this Upromise thingy.. What the heck? I look over at the computer and he's telling me that he can start saving up money for college education by signing up his discount cards (Stop N Shop, Walbaums, etc).'

At first Im like 'No credit cards.. sounds lerry.. blah blah' but he says knows all about it and it's safe and so forth. So being bone tired I said 'Sure Ok go for it'.

Then as I snuggle back into my pillow it hits me.. COLLEGE!?!?!!?

Man.. Give a girl a warning would ya!?

Silly guy.

So Im GUESSING he wants kids quick..

Upromise is a very reputable organization.

And in reality - college is expensive and anyone considering having kids should start saving right away lol -

Probably a good idea!

Don't get scared - I guess your DH is just thinking ahead. Caught you off guard though!

Edited to say: I just registered at UPromise! I spend enough $ at grocery stores and drug stores, a percentage might as well go towards a good cause!

That is so cute. I actually signed up for Upromise about a year ago and have $25 saved so far.

My DH didn't want kids for at least 5 years after we were married and when we were on vacation last month, he said 'why don't we have a kid ... I'm ready'. I couldn't believe where that came from.

How do you sign up for Upromise?

That is adorable!

As much as I want kids I think if DH was researching college savings for my future kiddies, I think I'd panic just a little too!

Re: Ok.. DH is freaking me out.

The odd part was it was the last thing I really remember before I fell off to sleep. (it's been a tough few weeks, Im BEAT when I get home)

So I had a baby dream.

I had a little boy who had a cute little round head like my hubby. Bundle of engery, questions and imagination. We were doing a get together in San Antonio (my home city) and my family was all coming to visit. My son was out and about playing.

I woke up and hit Jim 'Man, you woke me up JUST before I found out his name!'

hehe..

I want a kid.. But im REALLY worried. I want to WAIT until after our honeymoon next year.. Great 1 year anniversary present heh..

I love him to death.. but NOT NOW!
heh

Actually That's how I knew he was gonna ask me to marry him finally. I was setting up my Benefits for my office when I start working last year and he kept pointing out the GREAT pre-natal coverages that one of the carriers provided. I remember joking and saying “Unless you know something I don’t then this isn’t an issue” but I still ended up choosing that carrier.

He's just so quiet on important stuff it's hard to follow sometimes.

I've had a UPromise account for a few year...a couple hundred dollars in it already. That is before I even met FH...but since you don't have to name who you are saving for...I thought it was a good deal. I spend money anyway....why not get something for it!

Good luck to you and DH :)

He may just be planning for the future.

We joined UPROMISE 2 years before we got married and have been doing it ever since.
