ok i got married on leap day last year......

what day should we celebrate our unoffical one year anniversary? and should we do something big like go away for the weekend or just something simple and save the big thing for leap year in 2008? i am torn! thanks

Hmm....that's a tough one. I know if it were me, I'd probably celebrate on the last day of February (the 28th). As for the type of celebration, I think you should do whatever you want. One year is still a huge accomplishment, worthy of a big celebration, IMO, but if you'd rather wait until the next leap year so it's more official, that's good too. Do whatever would make you happy

I would celebrate on the last day of february also because that way it's still in the same month that you got married.

As for what to do... it's what ever you like! You can make this year big, because it's the first year... or maybe start a tradition of anniversary celebrations...like going out to dinner at a new restaurant, or a favorite restaurant, etc.

You could also recreate your engagment date... I don't know how yours went... but if it's something you can sort of re-do, you might want to consider that too!

I would celebrate on the last day of February this year....but I would save a really special anniversary celebration for the leap year....to celebrate the uniqueness of your wedding day
