Tell us about the worst date you've ever been on!

( I love reading these)

I'm a boring dud...DH was my only proper bf, so I didn't have a big dating career before him. None with him were bad, obviously lol.

The one other date I went on was actually quite nice, he was a good friend in a time when I really needed a good friend.

Now, if you want to swap the word 'date' with 'group hang outs' or 'one on one awkward collegiate experiences'...then I have stories.

I LOVE mine because it's so AWFUL!

There is a certain store I frequented a lot to get my coffee. I'm always very, very nice to familiar faces because it doesn't take any effort to be, so why not? So this one person in particular was always very receptive to my 'niceness' and we would always chat. He was a great guy, maybe a few years younger than me and not my taste at ALL but a real sweetheart. He was always kinda sorta asking me out but never being direct about it until one day, after weeks of innocent flirting. I was sort of taken aback because I thought we were just being sort of innocuous, but I was in a bad place with my ex at the time and figured, why not? I had nothing to lose. So we arranged to shoot some pool.

WELL, this was the WORST DECISION I EVER MADE! I had always thought he wasn't my style but he showed up to the date wearing these HUGE black jeans with chains all over the place and some sort of heavy metal t-shirt. Not me at ALL but I figured I would give him the benefit of the doubt. We start playing pool and of course, he's staring down my shirt the ENTIRE time, not even trying to hide it. Then he starts trying to 'impress' me. He starts saying how he lived in Mexico with some relatives for a few years of his life and got into some pretty bad, dangerous stuff - not at all what I would have expected from him and certainly did the opposite of impress me. But the pinnacle story was when he told me got into a fight with the cops and, I QUOTE, he said:

'I bashed the po-po's face in with a bat.' Then just looked at me expectantly, as if I was supposed to drop my pants or something.

Yep. I had enough after that. I ended the 'date' and ignored his attempts at a hug as I ran away. I didn't go back to that store for my coffee for over a year!

This was kind of a date/kind of not.

I was 17. I just broke up with an old boyfriend, and I was pretty crushed how things ended. My friend wanted to cheer me up, and she asked me if I wanted to go to the mall w/ her. Who doesn't love shopping? We were walking around, when all of a sudden she stops me at a McDonalds and says 'Surprise, I met a guy online and he's going to bring one of his friends!' Blind double date. That was the LAST thing I wanted, but I wasn't annoyed for some reason. All of a sudden, these two guys walk past us, stare at us, and then leave. We busted out laughing because they were incredibly unattractive (I was really mature, I know)...but then THEY CAME BACK and said they wanted to check us out and they both agreed we were hot. Lucky us. Well, the guy that I was supposed to go out with was named Shazam. He told me I had great boobs mid-'date.' I faked a page (back in the days of beepers!), and said my mom wanted me home.

I didn't meet DH until I was 37 so I might be the winner in this category. I've been on soooo many bad dates that I seriously could right a book.

The last bad date I had was a blind date I was forced to go on right before I met DH. I was set up on this date by my sister's friend's wife.....she kept telling me she had a great guy for me, etc. When asked what makes her think we would be good together, I got the response 'he's single, you're single' ummm ok.

Anyway, she gives this guy my number (without asking me) and he calls. I hated him on the phone......I'm sorry I'm not a prude or anything and I drop the F Bomb on a regular basis but in a phone conversation with someone I've never met, it doesn't go over well. This guy was dropping it like it was going out of style.

I knew it wasn't going to work out so I made a late Tuesday night date figuring I can use the 'work the next day' excuse for ending it early. I suggested drinks, he insisted on dinner. Fine. I meet him at the restaurant and I kid you not....he was easily 400 lbs and wearing cut off jean shorts!!! It wasn't attractive.

I can talk to just about anybody but I was struggling to make conversation. We had NOTHING in common - I mean NOTHING!!! I never ate so fast in my life. We spent the first half of the date talking about how awful his ex-wife was to him and that I was his first date in 15 years - NO SURPRISE THERE!! Then he busts out with 'do you like to travel?' Great subject ! I told him about all the trips I had taken and at the time, my sister and I were planning a trip to Italy (we were taking mom for her 60th bday). Finally, I say, do you like to travel....his response, 'Yes, I love it. I went to FL last year for 10 days'

Then he actually asked if he could come back to my apt so we could get 'cozy' (his words not mine). My response - have a nice night and a good life. And I upped and left the restaurant.

He continued to call my home phone every day for 5 weeks straight until he gave up and realized that I was never going to pick up!!!

Now for the funniest first/only date!!!

I was sooooooooooo excited to go out with this guy that I had my eye on for a while. I had such a crush on him it wasn't even funny. I was about 24 and completely head over heels.

He finally asks me out and we go out to dinner. I guess I was nervous or whatever because I had a few too many cocktails at the bar while waiting for our table. We sit down and he orders a bottle of wine and we order dinner. They bring my soup (lobster bisque) and all of a sudden, I feel sick to my stomach.

I excuse myself and go into the bathroom where I get violently ill. I was in there for so long, he sent the waitress in to look for me!

I finally come out feeling better because I puked my guts up and we have a nice dinner but I want to die of embarrassment. I apologized over and over again and he says its ok. He drops me off - no kiss goodnight - I guess he assumed correctly that I was throwing up earlier - and says I'll call you.... I never heard from him again!

At the time I was devasted - now I think it's hysterical!

I think this was maybe in the day of KFed's 'POPOZAO'

mine is not funny but it totally ******....

dh and i were dating for a year..we went to one of those local carnivals cause i love them..he gave me a really beautiful bracelet and i put it inmy bag aong with my paycheck that i just cashed

we go on a ride..get off..walk like 50 feet and i realize i left my bag on the ride

we go back and ask the guy working if i can go look for it..he saysi cant go and he will look for it. i say let me go we r arguing etc etc i go to get someone and the workers went on the ride to look..finally a manger says i can go look but by that tim the guys had already prob took it and i never got it back

here is a dirty/funny one....

loong time ago my ex and i were parked by a dead end fooling around...i umbegan to (get my drift)..ike 5 min go by and all the sudden i hear clapping...i get up and we look at the window and a group of people are watching and clapping..all young kids..i was mortified and screamed driiiiiiiiiiiiiiiivvvvveeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

thank god nobody owned camera phones then and it serves me right for being a hoe

he was my bf of 5 years lol so not that hoeish

thank god nobody owned camera phones then and it serves me right for being a hoe
