Re: Olive Tapenade
This is my own version but it never fails to please our guests.I throw in a food processor a bunch of kalamata olives (obv. the kind without the pits). I also throw in a couple of green ones. I put in fresh parsley (usually prefer flat leaf over curly but either kind works). put in a dash of pepper and a lot of lemon juice. I also add a bit of olive oil and 2 anchovy filets out of a jar or can. mix it all together in the food processor and taste it. you might need more lemon juice or more anchovies or more parsley depending on how it tastes. If it tastes too fishy/salty add more oil, lemon and parsley. if its too dull add an extra anchovy and more pepper.

You know I have never heard of this stuff...then I saw it in Trader Joe's today and I was intrigued. And now someone is posting about it here- twice in one day!I'm even more intrigued. What exactly is it?

Re: Olive Tapenade
someone else posted too?? oh how funny. i didn't even see.its delish! it's a dip-like thing that you put on bread, toasted bread, crackers, can be used as a relish on fish/chicken/etc, or as a spread on a sandwich. it's very diverse, like hummus. and this is made out of olives! yummmm...
