I get a sick feeling in my stomach just thinking about it!

I am the WORST flyer EVER - I can't imagine what was going through those poor peoples minds as this was going down
I think I would be traumatized! What a day for this to not that any day is good for a tragedy but it is soo cold today from the snow!

Thankfully they were not in the water long!

I don't think I'd be able to fly again after something like that. Even in a car, one of my biggest fears is going into the water.

me too. that plane crash is my worst nightmare. I'm dealthly afraid that i won't be able to get out of the plane and the plane will be sinking and the water will be coming in the plane. oh god.

I am hearing now in that cold water temp from today they wouldn't survive longer than15 - 30 minutes - just amazing how it all worked out!

I know...who knew Honestly I never did, so now this is something else I will be worried about during my next flight I will think I will be in that 15% I am crazy like that!.. ughh

i was thinking the same thing...another thing i'll be worrying about next time i fly, especially during take off, thats when i'm scared most!

I am bad during take off , turbulence and landing.. so almost close to the whole flight. I have to take pills I have moments and periods when I am good. Once the plane was soo turbulent I got up and told everyone we are ALL GOING TO DIE AND DON'T ANY OF YOU CARE??

My husband almost passed out he had to refrain me. Needless to say you don't want to be around me on a flight.

OMG, Jen! I'm sorry, I don't mean to laugh...you poor thing. Did anyone say anything to you?

I think everyone was rescued...I hope

Update:

It was up in the air for ABOUT three minutes....a flock of geese went into the engines and they busted. THe pilot and passengers heard a 'Boom' and the system failed....the pilot told them to prepare for an emergency landing. The pilot had complete control as he landed and used his skills to make sure the nose of the plane did not go in first, or else the plane would've sunk.

The door opened, passengers got onto the wings and the Coast Guard alerted all emergency service, along with dive crews, to go and get the passengers. US Airways HAS confirmed that EVERYONE has been accounted for!!!!

They believe there are some serious injuries.....the reporter at the hospital said there is about 12-15 patients going there to get treated for hypothermia. The doctor said it's standard hypothermia treatment....warming with blankets, using vascular devices to warm them up.

A husband and wife are being treated for hypothermia, along wtih a stewardess right now. The doctors are ready for any and all patients coming in and are able to help them all.

AWW Jenn, I had no idea that you were afraid of flying. My mom is the same way and everytine she does get on a plane she has to be medicated.
