OMG!!! We put an offer on a house and it was....

ACCEPTED!!! We're so excited. the house was $399 and we got them down to $360.

The house is 4 bedrooms, living room, dining room, 2 small (but full) baths, small kitchen (we will work on this) and full basement that just needs sheetrock to be finished. Huge backyard and ciruclar driveway. All hard wood floors that were just re-done and sanded/polished. It is in MOVE IN condition.

The house is in Greenlawn. Is this a good price? We thought so... but i am so scared we could still 'do better' or that the market is going to go down more.... but i think this might be the time. I want to be crazy excited, but this is scary... and so much money... but i think we're doing the right thing...

i know exactly what you are feeling right now. we are in contract now and the entire process has been scary. making the offer, finding out it was accepted, signing the contract, forking over a huge check....all of it terrifying. you cant help but question, 'is this THE house? is it the right time? can we do better?' i think it is perfectly normal to feel this way bc really, this is probably the biggest purchase you will ever make in your life. take a deep breath, do your calculations so that you can be sure you can make all your monthly payments and best of luck to you!!

WOO HOO Congrats
How excited you must be . Try not to think of all the what if. No one knows when this market will turn around. Kudos on being able to get it almost $40,000 under asking price .

Congratulations!

We are in contract with an apt, so I know how you feel - its so exciting and overwhelming and of course you have that feeling, what if we had waited a little longer?!

Just remember that the market does go up and down, but as long as you plan on staying in the house for awhile, all that matters is the price you paid vs. the price you sell for, not the highs and lows inbetween.

Now is a great time to buy because the rates are low and the prices have really gone down. Beyond that, its important to buy when its right for you and your personal life, not because the market is good or bad.

I am so happy for you, now you can start being obsessed with decorating ideas and other little details for the new place like me!!!!!

time to celebrate!
