OMG...I was just in a hit and run...

Holy crap, what an afternoon. I was with my co-workers at a diner in Islip for lunch. My co-worker was driving us back. We were waiting to make a left and some guy was in front of us. The traffic was stopped because of a Verizon truck (no, not you Ryan ) and a red truck. So, suddenly, this jerkoff puts his car in reverse. My co-worker is honking like crazy and BOOM...the idiot hits us!!!! But, it gets better. The traffic suddenly cleared at that exact second and the car that hit us hauls a$$ and zooms out of there as we were trying to flag him down. Luckily, we are all okay, but the car has some minor damage and it is making a weird noise. Also, we got the license plate number!!!

So, now we are late coming back waiting for a PO in the drizzle. I was cold all day-this didn't help (I am in a skirt since I am so brilliant). By the time we took statements, we just got back. So, nothing gets done this afternoon. But the PO said that this gets referred to the state, as it is a hit and run...and the best part-he hit a car with four lawyers

If only the schmuck stopped-we would have exchanged information, been very nice and he would have just had to pay for the damage. Now, the guy is in deep doo doo.

Okay, now I am going to relax and calm down for a few!

Good thing you got the plate number. I would love to be a fly on the wall when this schmuck finds out he hit a car full of lawyers.

Oh, no problem!!! The best thing-if he is charged criminally, he can't get Legal Aid, since that is my employer and it would be a conflict!

Yes, I can still spoon! But he hit not one, not two but FOUR lawyers! Wow, I would love to see what happens later on when he gets a knock on the door!

Were you at the Oconee Diner? That $ucks I hope the car is not messed up too much but that is the best lawyer joke ever. Glad everyone is okay but the other guy, like you guys, will not know what hit him.
