Opinions please.....

Is it inappropriate or imposing during a wedding speech (BM or MOH) to reference their spouses?

for ex: he/she was BM OR MOH @ my wedding to my lovely wife.... or wonderful husband.....

just thinking. Thanks ladies.

Yes I would say something like 'Being my Best Man.... Or As my MOH....' I just think that on someone's wedding day it is about them.
BUT that can just be me.

When I was writing my MOH speech I tried to stay away from 'me or my wedding' I just felt that I wanted to talk about them. That being said it would be fine to mention something like 'She was my MOH and I am honored to be hers'

Just simply referencing your spouse during the speech.

hmmm I think I would stay away from referencing anything about your wedding. You never know who may get upset

I'll re-phrase the question:

Would it piss you off if the bm or moh said like the way I posted it?

If you said that -- I think that's fine.

Ok. Like I said, it's simply just mentioning them, not speaking about them.
