What did everyone think about Ben Stiller's impersonation of Joaquin Phoenix when he presented with Natalie Portman? She said to him, 'You look like you work in a Hasidic meth lab.'
I thought it was messed up...but it made me laugh!
I cracked up when DeNiro said about Penn, 'How did he do it? How for so many years did Sean Penn get all those jobs playing straight men?'

There was a part in the beginning (red carpet) that was screwed up. They were interviewing a director or producer of Slumdog and they asked how they found the actors and his daughter said I know a loser that would be perfect for the role Jamal....okkkkkk. Isnt that mean?

I just love Kate Winslet. I'm very happy she won. It was cute too when she said, 'Where's Penelope? I may be fainting...'
Yes, I liked the way they seemed soo sincere in what they were saying. Shirley Maclaine announced Anne Hathaway, right? I loved what she said and you could see how choked up Anne was. Also, I can't think of her name, the French girl who won last year was soo excited about Kate Winslet. And, I loved DeNiro announcing Penn!

I don't think so. You could probably see some of the highlights on oscar.com. Actually, I was kind of falling asleep towards the end too. Some things were nice, but I kind of felt like there was too much other filler in between...felt more dragged out than usual. I was tired but since I watched most of it I wanted to wait for the best actress/actor. Just as they're announcing best actor, my husband comes in and starts talking to me.

I missed it, but that sounds kind of mean.

Re: Oscar moments
The oscars were real good last night, alot of times can be boring but they did a great job.
I know everybody was like OMG when Jen anniston had to come out and present RIGHT IN FRONT of Brad and Angelina.
I did like the part with Tina and Steve, they were funny.
I cried when Heath's parents accepted his award, they showed the audience and everybody was crying, anne and Angelina especially were histerical.
I thought the Hugh and Beyonce part was real good
I also really liked how they had 5 past winners present the best supporting and best actors, they should continue with that

OMG, I know...when Heath's family accepted the award you could see how soo many in the audience were crying...very touching! And then right after that Bill Maher came out and was like, 'Everyone's crying and now I have to come out. Did anyone notice towards the end when they do the montage of those who passed away in the past year? I don't remember seeing Heath. Paul Newman was last.

LOVED this...as an actor, it's INCREDIBLY humbling to have such legendary men/women present your award. It makes the nominees realize how prestigous it really is. I loved watching Anne Hathaway during the presentation for supporting actress..she almost looked starstruck and just in awe to see those women talking and presenting about her. it just made me really emotional to see her so grateful!

I LOVE shirley mclaine, she is my favorite and to have someone like her say those things were great. Shirley is known to be out there but she said such great things to Anne, it was really touching. Viola cried alot too
ANd i have to say i was so surprised Robert Deniro was one of the 5. When they showed the tons of clips of past best actors dh and i were trying to guess which 5 would be there, and i said 'well bobby wont be one' lol

I didn't watch the Oscars, but I saw some of the pictures from last night and some highlights on yahoo this morning.
The Ben Stiller thing was HILARIOUS! I didn't catch NP saying anything though. Joaquin Phoenix is so weird now lol I love it haha
