Our 1st married Valentine's Day

We might not be spending it together. Long story made short Dh just moved his parents to PA ( his uncles vacation home) and all his $hit here, YA FINALLY!!! But his uncle is being an A$$ and wants to spend the night with his wife for V-day( which means his parents will watch the kids and he cant get back to NY, has to wait for the uncle to come back with him and the truck) and I might not see him now for our 1st V-day.

Like he told his uncle you have had 16 of them already this our 1st married one!!!! Plus his B-day is the day after
Another reason added to the list of why I cant stand his family!!!

I hope I explained it right It's been along night.

I sorry. I know it stinks.

I won't see DH either. He is going to have to work. Still doing that overtime every day with sanitation because of the snow.

can you celebrate on Monday or another day instead? I'm sorry.

That really stinks. Me and DH have to celebrate v-day tonight bc his brother and sister in law decided to have their son's 1st bday party on v-day...so much for our first valentine's day together!

Pick another night and celebrate as if it's v-day, don't be sad

DH is working too - he'll be home later in the night, but after working a 12 hr shift - not much he's going to want to do when he gets home but eat something quick & go to sleep Oh well - we'll have to celebrate on Mon I guess

Tell me about it, they never care for anyone but themselves. Even their kids are stuck up and bratty

I think you should either pick another day its not Feb 14th that matters its the time you spend with DH or drive up to see him, that would be so sweet. Which bridge do you take? Maybe a GPS could find a way to avoid the bridge?

I am sure you guys will celebrate another night. I also will not be with DH for our 1st Valentine's Day, he will be in Vancouver for the Olympics, so I totally understand how you are feeling.

I have no idea how to even get there or where his uncle's house is.

Re: Our 1st married Valentine's Day

We spent the day driving home from MA after being up until 4am to celebrate the 30th birthday of our GM who has been an @$$ to us since and before the wedding (but 12 years of friendship, we decided to be the bigger people and go, and he was cold and standoffish to us.) Needless to say we are tired, feel gross (to many people sleeping there to shower) and cranky. My throat is starting to hurt. But hey, we spent the day together.
