Our first Anniversary is this Saturday...help please

and we still don't know what to do. We were thinking of taking a limo out to the wineries for the day and then a nice dinner out. But I'm not too thrilled with the idea anymore. We can't go away for the weekend (have places to be friday and sunday) but we really want to have a nice day to celebrate our first anniversary.

Anyone know any outstanding restaurants, south shore/nassau preferably.

We usually go to Burton & Doyle steakhouse in Great Neck.

Here are some other nice restaurants:

Nick D'Angelo's in Merrick - nice restaurant, good food

Per Un 'Angelo in Wantagh (south of Merrick Road) - one of those places you would never know about unless someone told you about it. Really good Italian food, small, quaint.

Hudson's Mill on Merrick Road in Massapequa, nice little steakhouse.

Also, there are a few nice restaurants down in Freeport on the Nautical Mile.
