Our tree is up! With Pics!

Yay we did it! Our big fabulous tree is up. No theme and no garland cause we have cats who can choke on it, so its not a dept store tree lol but its OUR first fat and wonderful tree so I love it! QWe've been togetehr 5 years but this is our first time living together so its our first tree.

So far however, we're not sure how long it will survive beacuse our kitties have turned into jungle beasts and beneath the tree is thier lair lmao. The little one already knocked down 2 ornaments and since its near the window sill, we fear a divebomb attack will be soon..But in the meanintime, here it is in all of it's pre-kitty catastrophe glory!

Some ornament closeups:

The personalized ornament mom gave us-she was upset they messed up and didnt write FIRST XMAS but it has our names so we assured us we sitll love it; it was a sweet gesture. LOve my mom.

The our first xmas from Hallmark that my MIL gave us; sentimental mamas!

It came out beautiful!!

I'm too ashamed of our tree this year to post pictures of it. Its so skinny and scrawny. Makes me laugh every time I look at it.

Re: Our tree is up! With Pics!

very pretty! I love your first christmas ornament...

Little kitty trick.... if you have barbells, put them over the tree stand / under the skirt. they'll give you extra 'anti-tip' protection with your kitties

Re: Our tree is up! With Pics!

Re: Our tree is up! With Pics!

That is a fantastic idea and I never thought of it! Thanks. I am going to do ti now. We actually locked them and their litterbox (YUCK) in our bedroom because the litle one is playing with the water. Mind you we got the 'anti-kitty/dog' stand thats high up. The sucker C:IMBS into the tree then drops down INTO the water thing..LMAO ingenious really but eh ruined all of our wrapped presents! Have to rewrap later...I feel like we have frickin kids!
