Yay we did it! Our big fabulous tree is up. No theme and no garland cause we have cats who can choke on it, so its not a dept store tree lol but its OUR first fat and wonderful tree so I love it! QWe've been togetehr 5 years but this is our first time living together so its our first tree.
So far however, we're not sure how long it will survive beacuse our kitties have turned into jungle beasts and beneath the tree is thier lair lmao. The little one already knocked down 2 ornaments and since its near the window sill, we fear a divebomb attack will be soon..But in the meanintime, here it is in all of it's pre-kitty catastrophe glory!

The personalized ornament mom gave us-she was upset they messed up and didnt write FIRST XMAS but it has our names so we assured us we sitll love it; it was a sweet gesture. LOve my mom.

Heh we have 4 lmao but oen BROKE! So mad. it was a 2003 ornament; yr we met. Kitties swatted it so one champagne flute went flying. But I clipped it there anyway. Now it has character to it lol because it survived battle just like our relationship.
I bought the smores one, my mom gave us the personalized one and his mom gave us the hallmark one.

I love your window treatments!!! (sorry i'm random) I was trying to figure out what to do with our front window. i am going to copy your look. Also your AC is in a way better place than mine, under the window where it belongs not in the middle of a wall.

LMAO Thanks. We have a HUGE window. Its actually 4 windows long. So we had to figure out a treatment. Itw as more expensive than we'd have liked because we needed so many panels-used two just to stretch across the top. We wanted to tie in all of our colors. They look awesome with our new accent wall. Dh painted it a reddish shade in that suede paint. Looks awesome. We couldn't decide what to put on that wall casue its cluttered over there in the corners.

Your tree came out so nice...Our tree is like 6 inches tall...(don't have enough room for a bigger tree) ...I'm happy with it....less stuff to put away...LOL..

mel I hear ya! LOL thats why I did it. because we have a kitten who is loving the tree a LIL bit too much and we fear for its (the tree's, not the kitten's) safety!
