I have an issue here.........I don't know what to wear on saturday...
My best guy friend in the whole wide world's engagement party is saturday night at the Smithtown Landing...band AND a DJ...so I feel like it's sorta a wedding (i'm totally excited for it...rents are going....& some of my bestest friends....)
I reallllly realllllly love by Nicole Miller RD Dress and reallllly want to wear it again but I don't know if it's to 'fancy' (i don't think it is but I don't know) It's long....

You sound like my DH.. only he keeps it @ 59d
I am starting to get used to it. If I am too cold I just put on the Electric blanket
As far as the dress is concerned if your not 100% comfortable than go w/your gut. I am getting the impression you don't want to 'OUT DO' the Guest(s) of honor -which is totally understandable (is that a word?)

More of, I don't want to feel out of place........I would never be able to 'out do' the two of them lol he bought a new pin stripe suit & she's the cutest little thing but I just don't know if long is appropriate...ughhhhh lol I hate picking out dresses.

I was at a more formal e-party last year and I felt slightly under dressed, so I think long is def. suitable!! I love it!

Re: Outfit Question
Its pretty! I think as women we can pretty much wear anything and get away with it if we dress it up or down. Its not a gown, just a pretty dress. DEFINETLY keep the hair and accessories simple though so it seems more relaxed.

Re: Outfit Question
I am NOT a fashion expert but I think it is a bit too fancy for the party. I have gone to plenty at halls with the whole DJ thing and even the bride to be wore a short 'fun' dress
It is a beautiful dress though so I understand wanting to wear it again!

Devon, I think it's fine to wear; just keep the jewelry simple.

Re: Outfit Question
i LOVE the dress! i think you look great in it! but being that it is long, i think it might be too fancy. For an eparty, i would stick with a tea length dress.
now that i think of it, i dont think anyone wore a long dress except for me at our eparty... everyone work cocktail dresses and looked great. i'd save it for a wedding. It's really a beautiful dress!
