What about ...

Mystic ,CT
Fishkill ,NY (lots of litte antique shops, etc)
Norfolk, CT (aquarium and cute little downtown area, nice restaurants)
Stamford, CT (nice city)
Boston (might have to make it two nights but you can do it in one night, and I loooooooove Boston)
Cold Spring, NY (again, cute little town)
The Berkshires (western mass - tons of adorable little towns)

I have a ton of suggestions - let me know if you need more!

Well IF THE SNOW HOLDS OFF!!!!!!!!!!

We are leaving on Sunday and going to the Mystic Aquarium and shopping at the Mystic seaport. Then we are going to Mohegan Sun for some dinner and gambling. Then we are staying at the Bellissimo Grande - they have a free limo to and from Foxwoods. If we want to go back out we are going there but we may not leave bc we got a room with a fireplace and jacuzzi

On the way home we will hit up the Clinton Crossing Outlets.

I think Fishkill is about 2 hours away -- Cold Spring is in the same area ... there is a Marriott my mom and aunts go to every once in a while ....

That sounds nice! I haven't gone to Mohegan yet. My DH and I usually go to Foxwoods. A couple of years ago we went to Mystic Aquarium on the way down. The little sea otter was my favorite...so cute! One year we went to the Mashantucket Museum too which was really nice. We do the same thing...we usually go to the outlet on the way home. Have a nice time!

I can't think of the name of the place upstate in New Paltz. I know someone else on here knows it. It's supposed to be really nice in the winter. Give me a minute to think of it.

ETA: Oh, it's Mohonk Mountain house.

Sag Harbor is really pretty too or Block Island although that might be nicer to go to in the summer.

I love Mohegan Sun It is so nice there and it has so many restaurants and shops, its just a bit too far for an overnight trip, if we went it would have to be for the weekend.

What kind of shops do they have there? Is it like a peddlers village type of thing?
