Parent Alblums???

We used 12th Night and decided that we'll make our own parent alblums as well as our own.Is anyone NOT doing parent alblums, and just blowing up a really beautiful picture of yourselves and your parents? Or just you and your husband, and presenting it in a really nice frame?

We are giving the parents a framed portrait, but we are also definitely doing albums for them. DH and I are the only ones to have a 'real' wedding in our families and they were so supportive throughout our engagement (and lives obviously) that I couldn't NOT give them albums. But that's just us.

We are giving our Moms three portraits each:

One 8x10 of the family
One 5x7 of DH & myself
One 5x7 of myself & my Mom
One 5x7 of DH & his Mom

oh, how did albumscome out?? i am curious about doing this for the parents.
were they printed on 'yearbook ' like pages? or is it thicker?

tia!

as for me, we are def. going to give the parents enlargements - like an 8x10.
they are just going to have to wait a while for the parents albums b/c none of that was included.

Since my dh and i have divorced parents...and I'm very close to my step-mom...I had to make three parent albums...(one for my mom, one for his mom, and one for my dad/stepmom) FH decided to give his dad a 5 x 7 photo....In addition, we got folio's for our grandparents..(three in total..my paternal grandmother, maternal grandmother, and his paternal grandmother..)

Let's just say that alot of pictures will be given out...LOL...the day of the wedding...it was crazy to take pictures...LOL..

My dad will get a couple of formal pics of the wedding. I'd like to get a triple frame and put one of him and me dancing, an invite, and a pic of DH and me.
Maybe a couple of other pics as well.

If his mom wants a formal album, we can have one made for her. I put together an album of non-pro pics and she loved that. She it to chemo last week to show off and it made the rounds of all the nurses. She has to bring it again tomorrow.

The quality is reall good. I prefer picaboo now because like their selection of free backgrounsand their CS is amazing. But the pictures are probably like really thick yearbook pages. lil thicker than a maagzine cover. No paper thin or anything. Its definetly worth it. we used MyPublisher because our parents are traditional so didnt bother with fancy layouts. Just did it basic and I had a buy one, get one fre coupon which was AWESOME!

Thanks soooo much for all the ideas. Our photographer gave us a list of a bunch of websites, but I just wanted to see who did what before we even start the process. I'm sure you all know when making your own alblum yourself, instead of 20 pictures, you end up doing a hell of alot more!!

We didn't get parent albums either. We were supposed to get a framed 8x10 for each of our parents. I'm either going to get one blown up & frame it myself or I may may them mini-albums on shutterfly or mypublisher.
