Parking Tickets, for those who didnt know

You can go right on the NYC website for parking tickets, scroll down to request a hearing put in the ticket number and they will offer you a settlement immediately. So dont pay full price for your parking tickets. ALWAYS fight them cause they will offer you a settlement no matter what.

Also, always check the ticket. Just cause they scan your registration with the machine doesnt mean they cant mess up. I got a ticket the other day and the monster put N/S under make of the car so I was able to get it dismissed. I know this is random but I have a vendetta against the parking ticket people

yeah man, they suckk. Especially over in Port Jefferson where they now expect to charge you for using one of their parking lots So stupid. Back in the day it was always free (esp since the place is a big tourist spot on the Island). What jerks trying to get money every which way. My sister got a ticket like a year ago after parking where she ALWAYS used to park. And even after seeing it, she went on a hunt for the sign that would tell her not the park there, but there was none. Seems a little sneaky to me Jerks.

i would have fought it. Ive had 3 tickets dismissed this year from writing in my testimony. I also include witness testimonies. I dont give up easily. The last ticket I got , I pulled over in front of a No Parking sign to drop someone off. (Which is the rule, you can stop there to drop off or pick up passengers) The woman cornered my car in with her van so I couldnt pull away. You best believe I cursed her out until my face was blue. They are devious and dont follow the rules 80 percent of the time.

me too; I don't hold them so highly...and maybe its because I am always getting tickets. I always fight it and get it reduce via internet. I hate seeing the name of the same traffic officer on my tickets! It's like my car is a target

I know to some people me posting this is like DUH but I know there are a lot of people who dont know this. i even have friends who just PAY tickets cause they dont realize they have other options.

I miss portland maine. You were allowed one free parking ticket per car every 90 days. LOl I used to switch between my car, my moms, and my dads all the time when I knew I'd end up getting a ticket.

I was so pissed when I got ticket at Port Jeff....I was literally 5 minutes past my meter time....I dont know how they did that???????/ Its expensive too.

I got a ticket and I sent it back not guilty. CAn I still pick a date or do I wait for it to come in the mail (ps-never did this before so dont think I am dumb lol)

Youre not dumb. A lot of people dont know. They will send back a settlement offer and if you dont want to accept the settlement. You can send in a written testimony from you and a witness if you have one.
