I know there is one in Oceanside. Williston Park isn't that far from garden city.

yeah dont even bother with a hotel bc i seriously called EVERY single hotel in NYC and none would allow me to throw a party with 50 ppl even with less than that they said no. Only 1 place allowed it and the penthouse was too small for me. I am still upset i couldnt do it, i had great ideas for it but oh well
Well i ended up renting a private party room at this lounge in manhattan called Madame X. They have 2 rooms upstairs actually they use for private parties. Theres 2 ways to do this, you do the bar guarantee and you can do cash bar but for the room for example its $1400 bar guarantee so you have to guarantee your guests will buy at least that amount in drinks. Or what i did was i said i will pay for the bar guarantee up front and pay for my guests drinks. The room is cool, its all red velvet type couches, nice area. Its known as a burlesque place so has that vibe to it. Talked to BIL and i think we're also going to hire one of the burlesque dancers to put on a show. Oh and their smaller room is $1000 bar guarantee
If you dont care about complete privacy then there are other places in the city you can do. I had an issue with this and bc of it thats why i didnt go with another bar/lounge bc most wanted to do partial privacy.
Let me know if you have any questions, i seriously called hundreds of places lol

no its not $1000 just for the room, to get the room all you have to do is a bar guarantee of $1000 for the smaller room which holds about 50 ppl. The way it works is you dont have to put a dime down, and you have the option of doing a cash bar which means you would have to guarantee them that your guests would order at least $1000 in drinks, if after 3 hours its not at $1k then they will come and tell you and if anything you pay for the difference. OR what i wanted to do was pay for the guests drinks so i told them that i will pay them ahead of time the bar guarantee, she said i can give it to her that night. So i will pay for the bar guarantee.
They dont do food but she said you can bring in your own food since they dont have it.
Basically to make it simple, if you want the private party room they just want you to guarantee that your guests would spend x amount which is $1000 for smaller room and $1400 for bigger room. You dont have to pay for it, if you want guests to buy their own drinks, you just have to know they will spend that much in about 3 hours. If they do then you dont pay a dime. It is 20% gratuity which is $200 for smaller room and $280 for bigger room so you can pay that then if you want.
If you want to treat your guests, you can just tell them you'll pay the $1000 or $1400 and the drinks are on you.

Re: party place
I totally just remembered a place where my friend had her bday party. Great private room. Tall ceilings. I think you have to guarantee $1k of drinks for the private room.
Black Door: Three words: darkest bar ever. Black Door is where you bring your ugly date. Squint through the shadows, though, and you’ll find neither burn victims nor sideshow freaks, just a laid-back bunch of neighborhood drinkers soothed and subdued by the darkness. Tucked away on 26th Street, it’s a nice place to avoid the usual Flatiron/Chelsea crowds. The place has a sort of otherworldly charm, like you’ve stumbled into a secret bar from the 1890s, the kind of place where you’d order a pint or a Sidecar. While the front area, dotted with small tables and a long bar, gets plenty of action, be sure to venture back to the retro-cool back room.

well my friend did something similar at a lounge but not private area. It was the downstairs part of a lounge, and she got a table so she did bottle service. Each place is different with their rules to do bottle service BUT most require 2 bottles to purchase in order to get a table. Usually its grey goose and the going rate is usually $300 per bottle so figure about $600 to get a table. Then your guests can drink from those bottles but what she also did was set a bar guarantee with them. She said she would pay for her guests drinks up to x amount, once it gets to that amount they tell you and after that everybody paid for their own drinks.

well 718 is not that cheap to begin with so not sure what they would charge per person for dinner, i would say its definitely more than $30-35 per person.
I would just do a lounge/club/bar then and get a table or section reserved, you pay whatever amount you want for your guests drinks and thats it, this way you decide what to pay.
Or if you want, there is this great house in the city, its 3 floors. Its $1500 to rent out the house. You bring in your own food and drinks but they have all serving pieces and furniture already in there. I really wanted to do this place but it had to end at midnight so that was my only issue.
