I am officially retarded. I know there have been prior posts about this before. Someone sent me a link and I was still confused. I have a passport with my maiden name on it. I need to get a new one. Where do I go to do it? Do I need to take a new picture? Do you pay? What forms do I need to fill out? Sorry for all the questions.

Thank you ! Reminded me that I have to change my name on my passport to my married name. Hopefully I will get it in time for my vacation in August (need an icon for sarcasm, after last year's passport fiasco)

mine came ridiculously FAST! i am traveling at the end of this month and applied for my new passport the first or second week of december. i got it before the new year. talk about speedy!

No, there's no charge only if the original passport is less than a year old.

No, there's no charge only if the original passport is less than a year old.
there;s no charge if its less then 1 year from when you applied fro it, but you do have to send in 2 new pics... i have no idea why but according to the site thats whats needed

Mne was REALLy quick but we did pay for expedited service. You dotn have to but I was mocing to NJ and it was my only real form of photo ID with my address on it. Im paranoid about having stuff thats says I am ME and Dh is too so we paid the extra moola. But its not necessary.
Take good pcis though! My pics are soooo bad lmao. I didnt expect to do em that day so slicked my hair back and hada super dark honeymoon tan....the quality is grainy from the post office machine and its REALLy dark...
LMAO i wont post EXACTLY what DH said cause its soooo not PC, but the gist of it was he said we have to be careful when we travel lol because my picture will inspire panic in authorities...especially when travelling back to NY....
