How long did it take to get your passport/marriage certificate back once you mailed them in for your name change on your passport. I need this for August and I guess I should get started on it!
Mine took about 6-8 weeks I'd say. Timing will depend on the time of year and how busy they are when they receive your request. You still have plenty of time, but I'd mail it in sooner than later in case there are any issues.
I mailed mine about a month ago and just got both back last week! Do it now though because it's almost summer and I am sure more people will be requesting their new passports!
I applied for my original passport about this time last year, and got it exactly 2 weeks after I applied. I don't know if it will take longer for a name change though. I am planning on doing this next week, provided I take care of my DMV stuff on Friday so I can send the license out, I need it for beginning of August too.
