With the way I look it won't matter who takes my pics. They will speak for themselves..

They didn't mention anything to me about nude shots.That would have turned me off!
They took fun shots and beautiful romantic shots but nothing I would call sexy.I know they are known for making the brides lay across the lawn and spread the bottom out so its a bit sexy.I didn't want any of those besides my dress was a sheath.
(Form fitting)That is just not my style.They did a beautiful job & took exactly the type of photos we wanted.
I don't think Michele was saying anything bad just that she didn't care for the nude shot thing basically.

Theresa, I think Michele was just generally speaking. She is NOT a rude person in any way. She is very sweet. I always talk to her. I hung out with her at the GTG.
We used Patken but if they would have mentioned nude photos,we would have been disgusted!
Our photos were very nice.
I think sometimes when things are typed,its hard to see how they are implied.

When i was there last night i saw SEXY shots and i loved them. I thought they were very different. I saw one of a girl lying down with her leg up and the garter showing and the guy had his hand on her leg and they were kissing.

in the lindenhurst shop they have a huge 20x20 of steve and his wife doing the topless shot. something i thought was bold and SEXY!

T liked them and wanted feedback not for everyone to jump on her.

there is a difference between nude and topless and the photo's i saw give that whole nude look and i thought they were awesome. would i personally do them, i dont know but i thought they were great.

They do all kinds of photos and I know if I use them I will be happy.. And Nude photos with nothing showing is amazing. But I am YOUNg and wild and like different things. Doesn't mean what I like is wrong or disgusting at all and if people think that FINE.. But don't try to insult me.

CHeck their website they have shots of the nude but nothing showing shots!

Of that style, Patken is the BEST!!!!

I have heard very nice things about Patken from a lot of people who have used them... I personally went with more traditional, formal, fixed pics... Stef did tell me about the types of shots they do and my mother is a little religious so she probably wouldn't have been into the style....
I feel like photography is all differences in our personal style- some like sexy, some formal/traditional, Michele liked the photojournalistic style of Kauffman.... All simply personal pref... but Patken does a great job!

Theresa: I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting some sexy shots but I personally would not want myself totally exposed. That is JMO.
I am sure if they did photos with everything covered,it would be very sexy (not something to put in the album but something between 2 people.)I don't think anything is wrong with that but if someone asked me if I wanted nude shots,it would have turned me off.
Patken does beautiful work whatever the style!

after re-reading the posts, michelle said 'stef mentioned topless photo's'and sue said nude. it seems we had a miscommunication. Nude and topless are 2 totally different things. Ask any guy who goes to gallagers or wiggles.

It was a miscommunication and understandable.

Patken's style is great for whatever you want. If you want sexy, they'll do sexy, if you want photojournalistic, they'll do it, you want traditional they'll do it. Whatever you want. They do sexy and its different and some people may want that and its great that they offer something like that.

some choose to not do it for there reasons and some chooose to do it for there reasons. regardless, they do great work.

Thats what happens when I pop in & out of LI Weddings because I have to answer phones and work. I get all confused.
Its all good! But if someone asked me to take 'topless' or 'nude' photos with 'all my stuff exposed' I would think they were a 'perv!'
