patken proofs

Does anyone have any experience with ordering proofs from patken? I think my photographer did a fantastic job. but in her editing, there are a ton of b&w images that I'd have rather they be color and I have a few other editing requests.

I called and the lady on the phone said they may be able to make some changes, but I couldn't see the altered proofs first. huh? why not? Is this even true?

I do not know anything about the editing?
