Anybody else find this irritating last night? I'm just the type of person who gets really annoyed when performers lip-sync ever. I feel like if you're on stage and people have paid to see & hear you sing, then you better actually SING. Otherwise, everybody should have just stayed home and waited for your song to come on the radio Same thing.
But ESPECIALLY on something like American Idol - where she's on a show that judges the contestants' ability to sing live. And then she goes up there and just dances around for us, not even trying to make it seem legit. Her voice was clearly electronically altered (to sound cool I guess), you could barely see her face the entire time, she was doing all kinds of crazy dance moves and not getting out of breath, and then had so many distractions to add to it (like all the other dancers & fireworks & such). Just annoyed me a little bit. Don't be a JUDGE who represents this show and judges others on their voices & abilities, but then go up there and fake your way through the whole thing. 'No Doubt' performed right after her, and actually sang (making Paula's performance seem even worse).
Anybody else get annoyed by this?? Or am I the only weirdo who even noticed and cared. lol

Re: Paula Abdul's bad lip-syncing
I wasnt so much annoyed as i was embarrassed for her. I thought it was so weird. She looked foolish up there lip syncing during a singing contest- especially that shes a judge! Oh, and she sounded like a robot on top of it!

i agree......
but i do understand a lot of artist do lip sync but at least put some effort in to make it look like you could really be singing......
i thought her song was pretty bad too and i think she has the 'girls' out a little too much for all the tweenies watching at home

Re: Paula Abdul's bad lip-syncing
I was annoyed cus I felt like the cameras knew to shoot from certain angles so you wouldnt see her mouth. I didn't feel like I was watching a singer- just someone dancing to a song. And yes, its annoying that se is sitting their judging the contestants and can't even perform live on her own. I understand having a backing track because she is doing some moves that wuld be hard to do while singing. But she was totally not singing even a little. Thats annoying.
