I was shopping all day today. Seriously what is the deal with people walking around wearing pajamas. They were not sweat pants or fleece pants but pajamas with Sponge Bob all over them. That was one girl I saw loads of people in pajama pants though. One girl was a huge Mets fan as evident by her washed out Met pants and another girl had a soft spot for Looney Tunes.
The culprit was not four she looked to be in her twenties and had loads of bags with her which means she wasn't running in to grab something.
I don't know why this annoys me so much but if I have to get dressed so do you. Put sweatpants on at least try to look like you care. Pajamas that are 5 sizes too big at 2pm on a Sunday send a message to the world that you gave up.
Anytime my mom sees people like this she will say that poor girl has no one to love her. I ask why does she have no one to love her and mom will say if someone loved her they would have told her not to wear that. All the poor unloved girls walking around the mall today I bet they do have someone to love them so they don't put the effort in anymore
I would like to add to my list of pet peeves!! People eating wunch at the mall while dressed in flannel pajamas!!!

Re: People at the mall
I am guilty of doing this, but I only went to the mall once in my PJs and I was just running inand running out. In no way shape or form did I think I looked cute or was I proud, actually quite embarrassed but my partner in PJ crime was wearin them too....but I hate those people too

A quick in and out can be forgiven but these girls were in to shop and they weren't all together. One girl was walking around with her fully dressed family. Another girl was with her fully dressed friends and the other was by herself (for obvious reasons). Honestly if I went to pick up a friend for a day out and she was not dressed Iwould tell her to change I would not want to be seen with her. (My mom would be so proud that my poorly dressed friend has me to love her)

Re: People at the mall
My dad took all four of us kids out for pizza in our PJs once, it was FUUUUN... I think he and mom were having a thing though, so maybe it wasn't to be whimsical though.... Yeah I noticed the pajama people last year, maybe they invaded queens first and are now making their way out to Long Island? From what I understand it started as a college trend, going to class in your PJs or something? All well and good except Steinway Street on a Sunday afternoon is not Harvard, darling. Your mom sounds wayyyyyyy nicer than me, I'm going to try to be more like her this year

hahaha...i just laugh at them...not that i am a fashion diva by any means...because i am sure 'adults' thought the same of me when i walked around in my Skidz that would've fit 2 of my DH's in them....i think the PJ trend is the 2000's version of Skidz...and will soon be on a VH1 countdown of Fashion Don'ts...i am still laughing at kids walking around in denim skirts with leggings and boots...i want to walk up to them & say...hey....i wore that when i was in 8th grade!!! hahaha
I know what you mean especially the ones who dont match and even a plus they wear thier slippers. I don't get it and i personally think they look bummy. I did that once or twice and it was to go get medicine at Walgreens.

Oh the good old fannie packs. I don't want to touch that one. I live in FL and see them everywhere. They are such a fashion accessory.

Even that expression sends me giggling. In Ireland 'fanny' is a REALLY NAUGHTY word, its like the 'c' word here... so its always fun to say it when the Irish relatives are in NY... their heads are spinning for the first couple of days.

Re: People at the mall
You guys are taking me way back!
As for the PJs, I saw a guy walking down the street in them the other day. He looked like he had just escaped from a mental institution. Then again in our neighborhood, maybe he had....
