I was shopping all day today. Seriously what is the deal with people walking around wearing pajamas. They were not sweat pants or fleece pants but pajamas with Sponge Bob all over them. That was one girl I saw loads of people in pajama pants though. One girl was a huge Mets fan as evident by her washed out Met pants and another girl had a soft spot for Looney Tunes.
The culprit was not four she looked to be in her twenties and had loads of bags with her which means she wasn't running in to grab something.
I don't know why this annoys me so much but if I have to get dressed so do you. Put sweatpants on at least try to look like you care. Pajamas that are 5 sizes too big at 2pm on a Sunday send a message to the world that you gave up.
Anytime my mom sees people like this she will say that poor girl has no one to love her. I ask why does she have no one to love her and mom will say if someone loved her they would have told her not to wear that. All the poor unloved girls walking around the mall today I bet they do have someone to love them so they don't put the effort in anymore
I would like to add to my list of pet peeves!! People eating wunch at the mall while dressed in flannel pajamas!!!

Even that expression sends me giggling. In Ireland 'fanny' is a REALLY NAUGHTY word, its like the 'c' word here... so its always fun to say it when the Irish relatives are in NY... their heads are spinning for the first couple of days.
So funny you said this. The first summer I lived there I was working in a restaraunt. On my very first day of work a very bust carvery Sunday a patron left her bum bag behind. I grabbed it and yelled accross the restaraunt EXCUSE ME YOU FORGOT YOUR FANNY BAG!!! The place went silent and there I am standing dangling this bag pointing to it saying 'your fanny pack'. A bright red woman took her bag and the place exploded into laughter. The manager looking all respectable in his business suit was bright red literally on the floor laughing at me and I was the clueless smiling American. My new nicknmae was Catherine Fanny from that day forward.

Yep late 80's early 90's. Boy along time ago. I thank god they didn't bring those back to style like the styles I have seen being brought back. But I do remember that the Cavarichies werent flattering at all.

I always wondered where they got the name Fanny Pack from.
