Please tell me everyone else has that person at work- and at like every job you have had, that can always take off, call out sick, leave early, come in late, etc. and never ever gets in trouble? Ive had it at almost every job- but this one is the worst I think. Literally since April she hasn't worked a full day....

Re: People at work.
Oh I've worked w/ some of those characters myself........the worst would be the one who openly slept at her desk- she had a BLANKET on her chair at all times that she'd wrap around herself and put her head back and sit there and sleep in her chair. and this is a major company, they were just relaxed w/ their policies.....by some miracle, she wasn't fired, but left on her own to become an accountant......I wonder if she's still wrapping herself up with her red blankie and taking her daily naps
ETA- and as for lateness- we started at 10AM and most days she'd show up between 10:30 and 11- complete w/ her McDonalds breakfast that she'd sit there and eat for an hour at her desk, and then go to lunch

the one here just took a nap in an empty office. And we start at 9. She has never gotten here before 9:30. And she usually leaves by 2 at the latest. gets paid for full time though!

Re: People at work.
o' yeah we have a few of those at my work as well. and some are on 2nd shift, and if they do not find someone to cover them then we get mandated and have to work part of or all there shift, and if we refuse we get wrote up and the second refusal in 6mos. leads to termination of your job. and the same people get away with it, and those of us who are dedicated to our job pay the price, it really sux.

She is salary. And we work for like a major finance company. its so weird. But she has been here for like 4 years so she knows she can get away with it.
ETA: She sits at her desk when she is here with headphones on watching television shows on the computer.... and expects me to answer her peoples phones. Kinda annoying.

Re: People at work.
I have one person and when I went to talk to a partner about the person, wow did I get a bad response. I was just doing my job as a HR manager. Favoritism is not good in the workplace. But I believe in Karma, so I don't let it get to me.

LOL. She is actually still here today- but complaining all day about feeling sick and wanting to leave, but someone else is out so she cant. She is a cool girl- I just can tell she doesnt like sitting at work adn her bosses are like whatever as long as someone does the work you dont have to be here.

Re: People at work.
WOW! I would not be able to DEAL with that! I would have to complain eventually. However it will probably come back that you are the one who complained! Arghhh
Well anyway, we have people here who do that too...take a TON of time off, like every fricken week they have a vaca day....and when it comes time for me to ask for a day off I get a ton of questions and feel bad about taking the time off. Arghh so annoying.
