Personal question if I may

John & I know the areas where we want to buy:

Massapequa
Massapequa Park
Wantaugh
Coppaigue
Seaford

Would you mind posting or FM me the approximate taxes you pay in these or close surrounding areas?

We just want some ideas.

Jenn.. it depends on the size of the lot and where in those neighborhoods you are looking for..but figure anywhere from 5-6 to easily 8-10..

You can put in the towns and you see the houses that are listed and the taxes. It should give you a good idea. I just searched with your towns and I saw everything from $3,000 - 9,000++

Like someone said above it can really vary by the part of the town and the type of house you are looking for. I know where I am they are really high (I need to get them looked at because they should be lower), however they are lower in the northern part of Bellmore.

I would also agree with those estimates and say that it depends on the house and its property. When you look at a property they will tell you what the taxes are exactly. You can expect variations as well depending on school district (i.e. Massapequa goes to Mass., Plainedge, or Farmingdale schools; Wantagh goes to Wantagh or Levittown, etc.).

Niecey Thanks so much for this site, John & I are looking at it now.

Of course the areas we like and where we may wind up are 2 different things, also I will check into school districts etc.

We are just starting on this & it probably won't happen for a while but Thanks all!

We are waiting to close on our house in massapequa park. They were paying something like $4600, but I'm sure we'll be paying more that it's been reappraised.
