Pet Peeves

What are some of your pet peeves. What really drives you crazy!!!!

1. People that speak in baby voices. A girl I know does not eat lunch she eats 'wunch'.

2. Using foreign terms and pretending it is normal. A girl I worked with did a semester in England. She was away for 2 months and lived with all Americans. When she came back she referred to her house as her flat and the bathroom as the loo. Add on the fake accent I thought I was working with Madonna.

3. Cars with 1 license plate. I don't know why but it annoys me.

4. The denim suit. A denim jacket worn with jeans. It looks like a poor man going on a job interview.

If you think this is bad you should the HATE LIST. My friends and I email all day at work and if something ever comes up where one of us will say I hate that. It gets added to the list. Our list ranges from John Mayer to flannel shirts to men with long finger nails.

I am trying to think of things to add to my pet peeve list that will not offend anyone. I carry a lot of anger.

These are funny.
I can't stand people who have long drawn out conversations on the LIRR. I mean, I understand the quick phone call to say what time you'll be home, but the juicy conversations about your dating life, or your fight w/your best friend doesn't need to be broadcasted on my morning train ride in.

1. people who say words wrong and don't realize it - like 'supposably'

2. people who hover, lurk, or otherwise engage in annoying behavior. especially when you work in a cubicle farm and there are people tall enough to see over the walls. we call it 'prairie dogging' - but anyone who has seen Rat Race knows there's a whole other meaning for that term...


my all time FAVORITE mispronounced word would have to be AXE as in 'can I AXE you a question?' you can't AXE me anything, unless you're chopping me some firewood or something

and we have low cubicles at work, so I know all too well the behavior of the hovering co-workers......I just LOVE the 'foodies' in our group, who consistently stop by around lunch time, stop by my desk and just sniff around (literally) and then loudly say 'what's for lunch today???' as the eye whatever I'm chowing down on, practically counting my calories for me is it really really sad that I consider high cubicle walls a 'perk'?

Im on everyones pet peeve list, I say prolly but only b/c when I had my tongue pierced I couldnt pronounce it right and I just got used to it.

I HAAAAAAAAATE when I go to the Supermarket and you are on the 10 items or less line, you think the lady in front of you only has like 8 but then she moves something and it winds up being that she has like 30!!!

This kills me too because I like the English language. I like to read trivia on it and kilsl me when I know I have been saying something wrong like

'For all intensive purposes'

Yes people say it this way but newsflash, its WRONG! The saying is actually 'For all intent and purposes.'

I started saying it the right way after I learned and OMG snobby people love to try and correct me till I bring out the BANG proof that i am right. Then they sniff at me LOL thats another peeve! people who cannot admit they are WRONG!

4. When you put dishes in the dishwasher and you dont rinse them, my MIL did this over the holiday and I thought I was going to choke her, then she wouldnt turn the thing on so we would run it 3x

that is all I can think of at the moment


i wish i had a dishwasher... i HATE doing dishes...ughhh

Thats almost as bad as the guys who try to get your attention by shouting 'Yo shorty what's up with you and me'

Um NOTHING is up with you and me because I tower over your pants around your @ss self, in my 3 1/2 inch heels, looking all kinds of fierce while you just look like you dropped a load in your pants to give you that saggy baggy look.

Thought of a few more.

When people post stupid questions that could easily be answered by doing a GOOGLE SEARCH!!! What time does Target open? Am I wearing a red sweater? Look it up!!!

When I am shopping and people ask 'do you work here'. I am wearing a coat and carrying a bag! Open your eyes!!!!!!

The saying 'at the end of the day'. When people say this arounfd DH he always answers 'it's night'

People who list their pet peeves that really annoys me.

YEEEEEEES! all I know is when you want a damn cigarette and you are behind these people, I realize why I cant quit blame my lack of motivation on someone else
