Thanks to Stef (for giving us the idea) and Stacedz (for telling me step-by step what to do!) I finally had some time to decoupage a keepsake box from wedding cards we received.
It turns out that I cut out way too many pictures and sayings - I thought I wouldn't have enough either! The box I used was a round one, maybe 1 foot in diameter, so it wasn't too large. I may just add an extra page in my scrapbook now and display the remaining card cuts outs - they're nice, and I don't want to waste them.
I also didn't originally want to have much space showing through between the cut outs, but given the size of my cards and the box, and I really didn't have much choice. It would have taken a lot more time and energy to get them in a better order.

I've been too lazy to post mine, but they look so similar I had to! Really not so hard to make and a nice thing to have. My box is not bigger, I just have it overflowing so the cover does not go down all the way. Also, inside (where all the junk already is) I have special wording from cards (actually what they wrote) of our siblings and parents. Thanks stacyDZ for walking me through making it!
Geez, girls if our boxes ever go out together they would be made fun of for being matching!

Shamma, I put cards I wanted to keep in there (from our parents) and random wedding stuff for now, I like it displayed rather than for storing stuff.

Shamma - I'm planning to make a scrapbook next, so whatever doesn't make it into my book will be stored in the box. Not everything will fit, but my shower cards, invitation responses, etc.

Oh I see, that is a great idea. THe cards that are left over can go in there. I could put responses and our wedding pix and our e-pix that has not found a home yet. I can't wait to try it. Thanks for sharing ladies
