how much vacation time do you get each year at work? I can't wait for my new bank of time come January 1st!!!!! b/c unlike last year when I take time off in 08 it will be for ME and not wedding planning! yayyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm hoping we'll go away in the end of January for my b-day, I need inspiration. Anyone planning to go away next year? do you think it's going to be your last vacay before baby making??

My DH and I want to go somewhere in Feb! We're thinking Jamaica but don't know where to stay!
Sandals....Whitehouse is supposed to be gorgeous and the new River Suites at Sandals Negril(??) are supposed to be amazing!!

Jenn, this is something like what DH & I are looking to do next year. We hate to fly though so we're either going to drive or take train. If we take train, we're going to DISNEY-neither of us has ever been. If we drive, we'll still go to Disney but stop along the way.
Oh! That sounds fun! You MUST go to Universal Studios. I went there with ym family lol on our last fam vacation and had a ball. MY dad is the ultimate goofball in Disney/Univeral. You can get a 3 park pass in advance and much cheaper.
I want to go with my DH but we're going to do the road trip first. Now we have our whole lives for vacations!

i'm pretty lucky - i get the whole summer plus 10 days a year I have never had a whole summer off before (i have always been in school or working summer school) one of our friends is planning a trip to ireland this summer so as long as DH can get the time off we would really like to go

I get 22 vacation days a year + five personal days.

nothing planned yet... we usually take weekend trips in the summer.

We're planning on going away for our 1 year anniversary next October.
Also planning on a weekend away to the Poconos or somewhere like that - a cozy ski weekend type thing.

We are going to visit our friends in North Carolina December 28-Jan 2. (Can't wait). As far as big vacations probably none for a while since there's lots of other things next year that we will spending $$ on.

I loved Bermuda!! we went 5 years ago on a cruise out of NY, the prices were really good when we went. you should go there!!

We have two nights at the Caribe Hilton in Puerto Rico we got in a silent auction...Late march early april we are going there and a cruise attached.

I'm starting a new job on the 27th, but they're letting me take a paid vacation in late March! After the DH's honeymoon pneumonia, I cannot WAIT!
We're doing a Royal Caribbean cruise from NJ to Labadee, Haiti; Casa De Campo, Dominican Rep; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas & San Juan, Puerto Rico...I sooooo could use it!
wow your DH had pneumonia on your HM.....I had no idea.....I'm sorry!!! you really deserve another vacay after that! and that's so awesome your new job is not being jerky about taking time off!

unfortunately, my vaca time for next year is already planned out and not even for a vaca with my hubby!!
two of my BMs are getting married in May and both are having destination weddings! so, DH and I will be going to Cancun for one wedding, but we're only there for 3 days and are traveling on the 4th - so that's 2 vaca days gone.
then, my MOH is getting married in Disney two weeks after the Cancun wedding and I'm her MOH. unfortunately, DH's sister is graduating college the SAME DAY, so he's going to her graduation and I'm stuck taking 3 more vaca days and not even getting to vaca in Disney with DH! so, that's now 1 week of vaca time gone.
i'll get another week in june, but i'm saving it to go home for christmas next year. i haven't been to NY for christmas in 3 yrs and that's just too long.
so yeah, no real vacations for us next year. at least we get to go to cancun for a few days though, even if my entire family will be there too
wow you're going to be really busy in 08!!!! and that's crazy your friends wedding is the same time as your SIL graduating so you can't even hang w/ DH in Florida! But at least your thinking ahead w/ your vacation time so you can be here next year for Christmas!!

I'm carrying over 6 days and I get 5 weeks next year!!!! I would love to go to Aruba but we are thinking soon....I guess we shall see!!!

I have 13 days this year, but they acrue so I won't have enough time to take a real vacation for a few months. I'm going to take a week off for our anniversary and hopefully we'll go to Italy. If not I want to go to Vegas.
