My cousins 2 year old son was mauled by a dog yesturday as is now in the hospital. The Drs. said some of the damage could be permanent. The dog took parts of his eyelid and some of his lip area. Florida Kid Care dropped his insurance a few months ago, and my cousin has been struugling financially so I doubt plastic surgury is an option. Ladies, this is one of the sweetest, well mannered kids I have ever met in my life. Please send prayers his way. His name is Evan.

I know she is probably more concerned about er child right now than insurance and rightfully so, but your cousin should look into filing a lawsuit against the owner if the dog belons to some one and wasn't on a leash. Of course we don't know the details but generally in cases like this the dog gets put down and the owners can be sued. Im not one to promote lawsuits often, but if that owner is at fault and in the process an innocent child got hurt, tell your cousin to get legal counsel.
