Please Send Me Happy Thoughts!

Please Send Me Happy Thoughts!

I just resigned today, after having been at this job for 6 years. The opportunity I am going to is amazing, working in a high level position for one of LI's largest employers, and it will allow me to work with my family, and real room for growth.

I have been here for 6 years, and it feels like a family. When I gave notice, they were sad, asked me to reconsider, offered more $$, etc. Also asked that i stay longer - I offered 2 1/2 weeks, they would like at least a month.

I have a lot of inner turmoil, and I know this is the best, but am scared and sad to leave somewhere I am so comfortable.

Just another major transition. But now I get to move back from CT to LI this year, if we find a house!

I had the same problem - when I left my previous job it was heartbreaking for me and we had a going away outing where I cried the entire night. But you have to do what's best for you and it sounds as if you know this is best!
