OK ladies fess up - do you clean your own house and when do you have the time??!?
I think this topic may have been addressed before but I need to bring it up again. I cannot find anytime to clean. Between work, cooking, gym, running, seeing friends, errands, TV shows, etc there isnt much free time left and when there is we just want to veg out! We find time for laundry, dishes, etc but not anything else or maybe I am just lazy! Plus I hate cleaning!

We clean ourselves.
Its a 1 BR apt and its hard to keep clean I think its b/c we have no room so its always cluttered.
DH doesnt know it yet, but when we have our 5 BR house and a few kids running around, we will get a cleaning lady

We do it ourselves...I have really good work hrs and we are both off weekends so help isn't neccesary when we have kids I think we will habe help though

I know exactly what you mean but I have OCD so throughout the week Im constantly organzing things.
Usually once a week I give everything a good cleaning when I have time, like the weekends or a week night when Im not exhausted.
ETA: I wish I had a cleaning service but I cant come up with the money to pay for it weekly

I clean both places the one in LI, and the one in Queens.
When I was single I used to have a cleaning lady come once a month to do the bathroom and kitchen, but now I just do it. Got into that habit while I was saving for the wedding.

We do it ourselves, it does totally suck, but Dh helps out a lot, he onlyworks 4 days a week, so we does the dishes and vacuum, wipes the bathroom tub down and bring the laundry to the laundry room for me, then on saturdays i have off, i do the rest of it.
Our chores in our house are very much 50/50, if not then it would never get done

We do it. We have very crazy schedules too, but to be honest, I'm not a trusting person and wouldn't trust someone in my house while I'm not there. We find the time to do it in between our 2 jobs, me in school, errands, homework, family stuff, etc. We just do it.

We are 50/50 or maybe like 70/30 - DH does a lot, esp when he works from home. But now he travels alot. Anyway we have a cleaning lady once a month and usually do the rest ourself but lately we dont have the time to do the rest! It takes both DH and I 3-4 hours to clean the entire house top to bottom! UGH

I picked we clean our house once a week, DH and I have completely different schedules so we just split the rooms and usually get them all done by the end of the week.

I don't do it as often as I would like, but I clean. I do all the laundry too. DH cooks sometimes, or helps, and always cleans up after dinner ... and he always pays for us when we go out
I see a cleaning lady as a luxury I would be lucky to afford, ever. I never knew anyone who had one and we weren't poor - it just wasn't common in my neighborhood ... so I don't really ever see that as an option for me. I have often wanted to get somone in to do a big cleaning when I have fallen behind though!

i swear that the smaller the place the harder it is to clean!
our old apartment was bigger and it was SO MUCH easier to clean - this apartment is always cluttered looking - at least in a house you can try to keep the mess contained to one room - my apartment is one room so there is always clutter between papers, mail, bills, cooking, dishes, laundry, etc. i HATE it i can't wait to have an office and a laundry room and a normal sized kitchen

we definitely clean our own house. The only time that i would even consider having a housecleaner would be maybe when I have kids. I can see it getting very difficult, esp if I'm working and raising kids, then give me somebody to clean up! lol. But if I'm a stay-at-home mom like i plan to be, then no, I'll just do it myself.

We have a housekeeper that comes every 2 weeks. We have to clean in between but she does all the big things. I would give up other items to keep her. Its soooooo worth the money!!!!!
