i def hear 'how's married life treating ya' more than the baby question... i want to punch people in the FACE when they ask me this... if they only knew how many times i get asked that question... AND sometimes the SAME PERSON will ask it more than once

Oh God.... How's married life. I think we have made it clear about no kiddies soon. Next person that asks me that question I will respond. 'Its great now that we're married we have daily threesomes with Aliens'.

Definitely the first question! I think people just ask that because they feel like its polite to ask. I dont think they really care

I actually haven't heard much of the baby question. I hear more of the 'hows married life'. It's part of the process, so I don't let it get to me too much. I think its cliche and hate when people say cliche things just for the sake of saying something lol But, It hasn't begun to bother me much yet.

I also let my mother and my MIL know that they have a grandson, and his name is Artie and he is a 5 month old beagle.

They don't ask me questions anymore lol

1) so, how's married life ?
my response - I haven't killed him yet so it's fine.

2) when are you having a baby ?
my response - a cold icy stare and I walk away, or I tell them I already have 3 boys (my dad, FIL and DH)

This question really gets under my skin. It's very personal and also I'm 42 and my husband is 46. We're like a bit old to become first time parents.
I'll just be starting retirement when the child graduates from college. I've always wanted children so this question hurts. Life timing just su cks.

i agree. i mean people know not to ask about kids especially since I am only 23. But everyone asks me how married life is. I have only been 'married' for 16 days and some of those days DH has been back in Japan haha so I say 'ahh I still feel single but it's nice to get the best of both worlds!'

I will never understand why people dont like the how is married life question. if they saw you and didnt say anything would there be posts about that? just a pet peeve of mine, sorry

we do get asked a lot when we are going to have kids, i used to say ine ten years but people get freaked out so now i just say oh when we are ready LOL keep it vague

the only reason i dont like it is b/c i feel like its some forced 'have to ask' question.... i would be FINE with people saying 'oh how was aruba, how are you settling into your new house etc etc' i just feel like the 'SOOOO hows married life' is something ppl say to just make conversation when they see youfor the first time

i would even rather hear 'so, how have things been since the wedding?'

believe me, i would not be complaining if i never heard that question asked to me... just ask how WE ARE - thats all you have to do

I get both and honestly the second question regarding having a baby gets me annoyed b/c when i am ready to have a kid i will... i hate that after any event someone will say 'oh next year i want there to be a little one around' its like ok the first few times you say it its ok... but after 1 million times, i am gettin annoyed! Especially since i have only been marred 2 months!

i get both and i don't mind the how's married life question.. its customary and what the heck.. but the baby question drives up the wall!!! one lady came up to me on christmas and rubbed my belly and said, maybe next christmas W T FFFFFFFFFF i was fuming!
