Right before it poofed I said, 90,000. Seems like youre doing just fine yourself. They should negotiate with you!

sigh. catholic churches are NOT doing just fine. i dont care how much gold the vatican has, each diocese is a separate entity when it comes to finances and many churchs/catholic schools are failing/ closing/ combining.
My church is in a pretty wealthy area and its pretty much falling apart, which makes me so sad/
and what else i posted WAS that i have been keeping records of my donations all year and my acct. told me that it wouldnt make a difference bc i dont own anything! i would have donated the same, just not kept the records - annoying.

mummy & daddy are paying $90K for pretty pretty princess to have her wedding? must be nice in this economy.
i guess i'm just trash cause DH and i paid for it ourselves and didn't have our hands out to our hard working parents. damn

I just cant get over how people are more interested in getting married in a PRETTY church than just getting married in their church

LOL everyone hates my church, they think its so plain - but i got all my sacraments there so i am happy that i got married there! plus, i even baptized my godson there!

If I were religious and grew up in a certain church, I wouldnt dream of being married anywhere else. I think its great that you were married there even though people didnt like it. Youre not 'un-Catholic' at all!
