Portrait

I finally got my portrait (8 months) and finally (1 week) brought it in to be framed.

I think it's going to look beautiful. We spent quite a bit of time choosing the matte, frame and fillet-- and the sample looked great.

I should have it by next Saturday. I can't wait. I will post pix of it when we get it.

Now the problem is----where to put it??! It's going to be tremendous!

YEAH! I'm happy for you.

We have ours but we haven't put it up ours yet, but we're thinking of putting it in the living room.

Ok, don't laugh, but it's going to be pretty big.
It's a horizontal picture and with the mat and frame and all it'll be 26' x 30'

Yea. It took a while to get the portrait, but naturally it only took me a week to research a place to take it to have it framed. And thankfully it'll only take them 2 weeks to do it!

Re: Portrait

Is 8 months a long time? I am getting mine Thursday. I am not sure how long these things are supposed to take. It varies so much.

And from your list of things you had to selcet, what is fillet?

Re: Portrait

A fillit (not sure how it's spelled)
is a thin frame that goes right above/around the picture under the matting. It just gives the picture more depth. The one we chose matches in color and design to the actual frame-so I think it's going to look great.

ohhhhhhhhhhh, I know what you mean. Fancy! Sounds like it will look great. Since I am getting an 8x10 I am thinking of just slapping it in a frame.
