I would start looking in November. Since you are so close to December and January.

we got married end of January and started looking for our apartment end of November.

If your looking into an apartment in a complex go in at least 3 months in advance to apply(usually 3 months in advance they'll know what apartments will be opening up that month).

november or december - a lot less people move in the winter so you might find sellers are more willing to negotiate if they really want to move soon.

WHOA!! I apologize.. I just thought since 'newlyweds' frequent this board, I would get your opinions, since I am sure most of you went through the same thing. In my topic, I clearly stated that it was posted on BHB. If you saw it there, then you didn't have to read it again. What's the big deal anyway.. because it was duplicated? Give me a break!!
