I'm using blurb to create our wedding album (I saw PeteysBride raved about Picaboo, so I tried that first but it didn't download correctly on our computer..oh well.) I've noticed that while there are different layouts, sometimes I don't find one that I LOVE for certain pages. So I was thinking of trying powerpoint to create the layouts first. However, I don't know powerpoint at all and am really clueless on what to do. If anyone could provide any help/tips, I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much!!

Don't do it. I mean you CAN but honestly PP will give you basic layouts. if you didn't like what Picaboo or places like Blurb can offer, you will find what you do in PP to be plain too.
ALSO VERY IMPORTANT NOTE!!!**
PHOTOSHOP is the industry standard for a reason; it works in pretty much every format and will always be accepted where as with stuff like PP if you really know what you're doing with the sizing like Yesenia dos, you will be fine, BUT it doesn't always match up to printing companies.
What are you trying to do exactly? like what type of layouts do you like?

I know nothing about PP...I can say however that I did the pages for mine in Corel (basically the same thing as Photoshop)
ETA: Are you using Vista? If you are using Vista delete it and download it again, sooner or later (I know annoying) it will DL corrrectly, I had to do this about 3 times before it finally DL without having an error

I'm using blurb for the photobook. Jenn suggested adobe photoshop elements, so I'm going to look into that. Thank you though!
