One of my best friends has a little beagle who is fairly advanced in years. Last night she started having seizures and they have grown more frequent and violent. The vet suspects some kind of brain tumor because the medicine they gave her isnt' working. They are going to see how tonight goes and then make a decision. I know it's not the same as asking for prayers for a person but she is such a sweet little dog and she's suffering so much right now. My friend and I (and the dog) used to live together so I'm very close to her - I was just over there and she looks so out of it and forlorn and scared. Please send a few prayers her way that her suffering will end
UPDATE: Poor little girl got worse yesterday and we realized it was no way for her to live. So my friend, her DH and I helped her cross the Rainbow Bridge yesterday afternoon. It was so heartbreaking because she was completely FINE until Friday night, but I guess underneath she really wasn't. I'm just glad she's not suffering anymore. My friend, another friend and I moved into an apartment together when we got out of college and we adopted this dog together. My friend took her when she got married a year later but I stayed a big part of her life and took care of her. It was a hard day yesterday

Oh, sweetie, I'm sorry that you had to do this but please know she's in a better place. My heart breaks for you guys-it really is one of the hardest things in the world to do. My prayers are with you & your friends.

i'm so sorry for ur heartache ..atleast she's no longer suffering - no more pain for that innocent little pup. i am just so sorry i know u must be heartbroken...take some hugs

Thats very sad..one of my biggest fears is losing one of our obnoxious kitties. Many prayers for your friends.

Thanks everybody. I'm doing OK today but my friend is still reeling from the shock. She also has another dog and he is moping around the house I sent her a whole bunch of old pictures of us with her to make her smile but this was all so sudden that it's going to take some time. I still have my own doggy at home thank goodness - only I think she's ready to escape because I've been hugging her so tight since yesterday!!

What a beautiful little girl...I'm so sorry to hear that you had to put her down but you did the right thing, hard as it must have been. She is not suffering anymore and you did what was best for her.

Awww Jen i'm so sad to hear about this, but I am happy to know that that doggie had a good and happy life; it sounds like she was LOVED beyond belief. Tons of prayers to you and your friends And I just know your support helped your friend through what had to be a terrible day yesterday.
