Things have been really rough at my job. . .so I started looking for new opportunities.
One of the companies that I interviewed with (a major LI company), things went so well at the interview. . .they kept me there for 3 hours, met with everyone, they gave me really positive feedback, I really thought I was a good fit for the job. . .
I get a call from my headhunter today, saying that they 'decided not to move ahead'
She gave me some bs excuse, told me it wasn't my fault, that I interviewed well, but they wanted a little more experience of X. . . .
I'm just so shocked and frustrated and really bummed - I liked the group and the job description a lot
Just kind of wanted to vent

Aw, I'm sorry. I went through a very similar experience years ago, and I ended up where I am now. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, so I do believe that you will find something better! Hang in there!

I am so sorry. That is so frustrating when you had the feeling that the job was going to be a definite. Look at the bright side its a new year with new opportunities.
