Programs

Hi Ladies, and congratulations to all of you! I decided to ask the real experts this one (meaning those of you who have actually had your wedding already )

I am planning on making programs for my ceremony, but I have absolutely no idea how many to make. We planning on inviting around 160-175. Suggestions?

Also, what if I didn't want to put the run down of the entire ceremony in it? I just kind of wanted it to list the names of the people in the bridal party (and their relationship to us), and a special thank you to my parents. is this bad?

Re: Programs

well, I think you should put some sort of info about the ceremony...

maybe just keep it to listing the events that correspond to the songs that you have playing?

Re: Programs

You mean like: Processional : song?

that sounds good.

my problem is that we're having an interfaith ceremony, and I can pretty much guarantee that if I put down the way I think the ceremony is going to go, I will definately get something wrong (even after speaking w/ the officiants). Plus, I don't feel like going through an explanation of what everything is.

Re: Programs

Mine were made out of raw silk and florentine paper. They included irreverent bios of the bridal party.

Re: Programs

I think the fact that you're having an interfaith wedding is even more of a reason to run through the events of the ceremony. I did it in ours just so people could follow along and know what the different traditions were.
