Proof selections...

How long did it take u to pick the Photos for your album??? Its sooooooooo hard to decide when all the pics look beautiful!!!

It took me several weeks. I would choose some and then look again. It really took a lot longer then I expected.

put them in order of how your day happened, then reject the ones that you are not looking your best in, eyes closed, you are not looking in the right direction etc, then pick the best of those. I am sure there are a lot of duplicates, with those you pick the best out of the bunch.

ditto to what shamma said.

Also - unless there is a reason why you have to do it quickly, giving some breathing time will make it easier to pick out the photos that best reflect your day. I think right after the wedding, its harder to objective.
