Oh cutielips! Why only 265? Did they not give you a guarantee? I'm sorry...

I'll be the first to admit, I think I sound like a baby. My Husband and I don't agree on much, why should our proofs be any different? We've got different tastes, but we'll work it out, we always do.
I'm just sad that I thought I was getting one thing, and got another. I wanted some w/ me in my dress w/ the train, don't have 'em.
The ones of me getting ready- you'll all call me crazy, but I hate them. Such as life... I'll get over it.

Why do you think your getting ready photos are bad?

(PS: I didnt get a photo of me with my train either - i didnt want one - but just so you know not everyone gets them.)

You have all rights to your feelings, but since you are going to get a second chance, do it up girl and take all the ones you wanted. Have a ball with it.

The thing I don't like about me getting ready, is there are shadows all over my face. You can only see 1/2 my face- which might be what some people think is beautiful and a great shot! It's not what I wanted and not what I saw in the albums I looked at. I'm very confused as to the communication gap b/t me and MK when I picked the photographer and when I took a day off w/ Felicia to go there and show them what I wanted. Not to mention, when I went back 2 weeks prior and AGAIN told them what we wanted. DH wanted table shots (I didn't- so I'm glad I didn't get them-lol) but we didnt' get those either??? I'm very surprised.
I'll try to scan some tonight or tomorrow at work. (don't yell at me- no one agrees w/ me, but it's a personal opinon)

I am so sorry. I love all the shots my photographer got! I was so happy.

My mom is my best friend and I love my pictures with her while I was getting ready.
I'm sorry you are so unhappy! It sounds like MK wasen't what you wanted, I know he wasen't the guy for us either.

Why did you choose him?

If I was you I might just have him do family shots in regular clothes for the holidays, since I know for me it would be hard to relive the wedding, since it is once and a lifetime!

and second I totally feel your frustration.


I HATED my proofs. They were not at all what I expected and they were not all that good.

I have 1 picture of my father walking me down the isle!! His eyes are closed and his mouth is all wierd, ) I think he was holding back tears) . and there are no photo's of DH face as I enter the church or walk down the isle. I also had 2 photographers

Not to mention all my little personal faults that I found glaring at me, you know the ones that no one elses notices?? The ones that are not helped by the lighting and positioning staged by my photographer.

I see them at 3 1/2 x 5, I can only imagine what they are going to look like at 10 x 10.

And for those combined faults, some mine, most the photographers, I have still not ordered my album almost 2 years later.

I prob never will.
I totally share you frustration, wish we didnt!!

I feel so bad about this thread. My intent was NOT to put down Mark Kauffman Studios. They are what I wanted and would book them again tomorrow if my day was coming up instead of just past. I would however, be more attentive and make sure I was getting what I wanted. See, I share the responsibility for some of the poses.... the missed one's w/ us and our Mother's, that's simply a no brainer and will not accept full responsibility for that.

Me taking MK up on his offer is not for me. It will make my Mother happy (& of course, a big part of me too). I would do holiday clothes, my b-day is in Dec. too. However, she was sick and put up such a fight to be here w/ me today and on my wedding, how can I not do this for her? I will know that those were what I'm calling the reinactment- but not many others will know I greatly appreciate MK doing this for the 4 of us. Vin and his Mom are going to take a few too- as there are only pictures of them dancing their dance.

I will start a more positive thread when I scan more to share.

At least, I hope to start a more positive thread... I looked at them again last night hoping to see something I didn't see before- and nope! Every single good one of my husband and I are from the waist up! There isn't a single one of us long where you can see my dress etc... NOT EVEN OUR FIRST DANCE! I started to cry during the dance, and all the pictures are very close up! I had my train drapped over my arm and it looked gorgeous- too bad no one will ever see it in my proofs! Needless to say- again, I cried last night! This is so very upsetting to me I'm not sure how to get over it. ????

I think your pictures are beautiful!! It's funny, I look at yours and think - I don't have pictures like that:( I love the fountain in the back and the greenery. I was dissappointed that we didn't have many greenery shots. We took all the pics Of BP and families INSIDE the church for some reason. Partially my fault I guss I should have said something. I was also dissappointed in the BP pics and I don't think there were enough of them. We didn't get the fun shots of the BP, just standard posed shots.

I think most people see something wrong witht their proofs when they first get them (not all but many). You have a vision in your head and are dissappointed if it is not exactly. Like you said about having shots of DH kissing your neck and stuff, I have those and as much as I love them, I still look at your pics and think I like them and why don't I have those. The more I looked at my proofs, the more I love them...the same could happen with yours.

The thing about your mom is terrible but the picture looks GREAT cropped.

The proofs you have a REALLY beautiful, but I can TOTALLY understand how you're feeling!!! There's no making up for those that are missing!!! Once your album's done, I'm sure you love everything and HOPEFULLY you'll forget about what's not there....

Thanks Betty- you're absolutely right.
I guess I was hoping for a mixture of yours and mine. I spoke w/ my friend yesterday who used one of my choices before I booked as well- she likes many of my photos & I love many of hers. We both wish we had a cross b/t the 2.

I'll say it again, I'm still glad I had MK, but I'm disappointed that I didn't get everything I wanted. Maybe there just wasn't enough time in the day? Who knows....

Hey Sweetie - You know how I feel about your pictures (I love them) but YOU need to love them and if you don't that can never be fully taken away but maybe the re-shot will help capture some of the shots that were missed. I had to come on just to read your thread. lol xoxo

Do you guys think I can get them to make these up for me? My friends took some great shots- see below. Some of these have my train on my arm and us smiling at eachother... the ones from the photographer are from the shoulders up... is this possible?

Just spoke w/ MK again- who found more film... he said there's a few candids of my Mom and I- still none posed.... but at least it's not missing completely now! I feel a little bit better.

I'll have to see the rest before I say anymore, but trying not to get my hopes up as to not get let down... I hope he has some good ones!
